PT Walkley

I went to Joe's Pub with a friend, Anna Beth, on Monday night this week to see PT Walkley perform a pre-CD release concert (she had complimentary tickets!). I'd never heard of the band or listened to the music, but after the concert, I walked out very impressed with Walkley! I loved quite of a few of the songs he played; part rock, part folksy, with some retro sounds that made me think of the '50s or '60s. Only one or two were too slow for my taste. I am very eager to get the new CD!

Bonus: It turns out Ed Burns (actor, producer, etc.) was producing the show, and I saw him wearing a baseball cap, sitting at a table near the stage with a group! I must say he's more attractive in person than on the screen :-)
