Spending lots of your time on YouTube can pay off. Literally. Read the New York Times article on how some devotees ("YouTube partners") have earned thousands of dollars and fans alike, thanks to embedded advertising in the online content.
On another note, Google, the owner of YouTube, has found it difficult to make a profit from the site. The article explains that most videos are posted by anonymous users who may not own the copyrights to the content they upload, and Google has been "wary of placing advertisements against content without explicit permission from the owners." Google bought the site for $1.65 billion several years ago, and they make money by selling advertisements next to the videos on the site. Posting videos is free.

To Ms. Elisabeth
I have read some of your posts. I liked your writings; and would like to revisit here for more.
I write short stories and review other writers' work, too.
If you like short stories and paintings, then a short visit to my blogs would be an entertaining one.
